System checks

Things to check on the system if everything is running correctly, and how to check it.

Is Nx Meta Version 6.0 or Later Installed

The AI Manager plugin requires Nx Meta 6.0 or later. Follow the instructions to Install Server and Client. Both the client and server programs are required, though the server can run on a different machine, and even a different OS, than the client. Typically the server is a computer connected to some cameras over the network, and the client can be installed on your local workstation or laptop.

If you are using another product, check the documentation for that product to ensure compatibility with AI Manager.

Is the Storage Full

Check whether the disk has sufficient free space; the AI Manager does not work correctly when the system runs out of space.

Is the Camera Working

Confirm images appear in the camera preview window. If not, check whether the camera's own control app shows images.

  • If the camera is not working there, fix the camera input before continuing.

  • If the camera works but is not visible in Nx Meta, fix the camera display in Nx Meta before continuing.

Are the Necessary Drivers Installed: NVIDIA Orin Accelerated

If you're running on NVIDIA Orin - is a current version of NVIDIA Jetpack installed?

Are the Necessary Drivers Installed: Hailo Accelerated Devices

In order for the runtime using Hailo accelerators to work, the correct Hailo Runtime (hailort) needs to be installed. Currently, the AI Runtime supports Hailo driver version 4.17.0. Ensure that the correct runtime is installed.

Is the System Registered to a Cloud User

If the plugin is detected and you are greeted with this message:

Plugin message indicating the system is not connected to a cloud account
This message appears when the system is not connected to an Nx Cloud account

The system is most likely not connected to a cloud account. If you do not have an Nx Cloud account yet, follow the steps at Install Server and Client. The plugin requires a system to be connected to the cloud account to work. To add your system to your cloud account, right click on your system in the left-hand pane and select the Cloud tab:

System context menu showing the Cloud tab for connecting to an Nx Cloud account
Right-click your system and select the Cloud tab to connect it to your cloud account
